  • Premium Tape and Eyelets: We use only the highest quality curtain tapes and eyelets on our curtains. Our curtain tapes provide clean and even gathers and we only use strong, high quality metal eyelets.
  • High Quality Workmanship: Our curtains are manufactured using the best materials and machinery and go through a strict quality inspection before being packaged in a way that minimises creases and prevents any damage to the material.

Taped Curtain:

  • Measuring the width:
    • The width is before the tape has been gathered.
    • When installing, the curtain must be gathered to your rail size.
    • Fullness is based on preference, but we recommend at least double the length of your curtain rail or for the best results 2.5x the length of the curtain rail.
  • Measuring the height:
    • Measure from the top of the track to where you would like them to hang.
    • We recommend 1cm above the floor or 4cm below the window sill.
  • Installation:
    • Requires curtain hooks to install
    • First tie the 3 strings together on each side of the curtain. Make sure to not pull the strings too much so that they pull out of the tape. If the strings do come out of the tape, they can be threaded into the tape again with a bigger needle.
    • Measure your rail width and gather the curtain till you reach the width of the rail.
    • Neaten the gathers.
    • Insert the curtain hooks onto the curtain tape and hang the curtain by hooking onto the rail runners.

Eyelet Curtain:

  • Measuring the width:
    • The curtain width is before gathering.
    • Fullness is based on preference but we recommend at least double the width of the curtain pole. This will allow for the fabric to concertina comfortably, as well as helping to avoid overstretching or a gap when drawn.
  • Measuring the height:
    • Measure the distance from the top of the pole down to where you would like them to hang to.
    • We recommend to 1cm above the floor or 4cm below the window sill.
    • Make sure that you buy curtains that have a length of 3cm greater than the height from the top of your rod to the floor or where ever you want the curtain to stop, this allows for the eyelet that is sewn 3cm below the top of the the curtain.
  • Installation:
    • The eyelets have an inside diameter of approximately 40mm and therefore are suitable for use with 25mm up to 32mm Curtain Poles.
    • When installing, thread the eyelets onto the curtain pole, ensuring they are the correct way round.
    • Eyelet curtains slide directly onto a curtain pole without the need for additional curtain rings.

After your payment has been verified you will receive an email confirming that your order is being processed. We take between 2-5 working days to ship out products that are in stock and readymade. Products that are made-to-measure (custom sized) and need to be manufactured take between 7-10 working days before they are shipped out. When your order has been shipped, our courier partner will communicate with you regarding delivery and we will also provide you with a shipment tracking number for you to track shipment updates on your own. Please note: 'readymade size' does not mean the product is in stock.

Shipping costs will be shown at checkout. Our standard rate is R60 for Gauteng and R159 for all other provinces. Please note however that shipping costs can vary depending on the product size. Over sized products such as long poles and large beds will incur additional shipping costs.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or a proof of purchase.

PLEASE NOTE: custom-sized, made-to-measure, and customised items are not eligible for return unless in the event of damage/fault.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@matoc.co.za. If your return is accepted we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Returns arranged by us will incur a courier charge.

Unfortunately due to the diverse range of sizes we offer it is not possible to have all sizes in stock for each product. This means that readymade sized items may require production at our factory along with our made-to-measure (custom sized) items and will require a lead time of 7-10 working days.

We understand that each of our customers have different size requirements and that there is a price difference between made-to-measure (custom sized) items and readymade sized items. We have thus ensured that we kept readymade sized items as affordable as possible and they will also be eligible for return as per our 30 day return policy. Please refer to our return policy for returns and courier charges.

While we strive to accurately represent our products' colors in the images provided, please be aware that due to variations in monitor settings and lighting conditions, the colors you see on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. We make every effort to ensure that the colors depicted are as close to the true product colors as possible, but slight discrepancies may occur.
